lyrics
i can't think right today, roadkill just stays in place. tomorrow's so far away, just stay inside everyday. mom's in the ground today, siblings in clouds, ok yeah i may make same mistakes, i'll close my eyes and float away.
oh what a mess i'm in, i can't explain it. i dreamt of you again, i can't explain it. tired eyes and i've sunk in, i can't explain it. oh what a hole i'm in i can't explain it.
i can't breathe and i can't smell, i can not talk so what the hell? i lost my legs, but i can't tell just what i need or when i will.
Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
