about
oh, took . a drive to the right to the highway sign that says what i'd like to do. oh, met a guy on the side of the road who quit his job last week or last year. oh, had a smoke and i know that the sun explodes on everything here one day. oh, took a drive to the right made a wrong turn into the next lane, i'm ok.
well the past sticks to your back, well the past sticks to your back. well the past sticks to your back, it never goes away.
oh, took a drive to the right that night i thought i'd never feel the same way. oh, had a fight thought i might take some time to fucking get my head back on straight. oh, and i heard that world goes around in circles, every day's the same day. oh, took a drive, took a night, took my whole damn life to see i made a wrong turn.
Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
